What our guests say:

"This magic place at the gateway of the Okavango Delta is situated in the bush with amazing views of the sunset, tasteful decor and luxurious accommodation, great food and an exchange of safari stories! Everything has been created with thought and sustainability. We saw a huge number of animals and birds that are not used to humans and we experienced nature at its closest. I'd highly recommend The Tshilli Farm if you want to get an exclusive taste of Botswana.”

After just a day or two at the Tshilli Farm, we felt less like guests and more like we were staying with friends. Sophie and her husband Adrian, went out of their way to help us have a wonderful time. They picked us up at the airport, arranged a helicopter ride and a canoe trip and drove us to get there. Sophie made us delicious meals despite our numerous food allergies and restrictions. We were there in the off season but still saw elephants, buffalo, hippos, giraffes, and all sorts of antelope. For my daughter, the best part of the trip was petting their pet pig! All together I can’t say enough good things about the Tshilli Farm.

"Sophie and her husband Adrian have created a magical oasis at the gateway to the Okavango Delta, and my five nights here were a blissful and nature-rich highlight of my holiday. They offer game drives, walking and canoe (Mokoro) safaris in the adjacent areas of the Okavango, and on my first day, I saw more types of animals than I had seen in three days in the Serengeti (including lions, buffalo, rhino, giraffes, zebra, hyenas, wildebeest, elephants and hippos). It’s a private area all for yourself, and Adrian knows it extremely well and is a pleasant, knowledgeable and patient guide. His respect for the wildlife and the area shines through, and he helped me enjoy the safari aspect of my trip immensely. As with all such environments, be prepared for a fair amount of insects and heat, but the farm is built to handle this, and is a wonderfully self-sufficient and organic space respecting the surroundings. If you’re willing to do without some of the pre-packaged, ultra-managed safari that most of the Okavango resorts offer, I think you’ll be very pleasantly surprised by this farm, and you’ll get to truly enjoy the amazing wildlife that this special spot of earth has to offer."

This is a fantastic place right on the floodplain with wildlife, organic farming and the great tshilli sauce! Sophie and Adrian are great hosts, combining warmth at the same time as giving space, in the same way that the set up is private and communal. A place to soak up the okavango magic.

"This is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places that we have stayed. We had a wonderful few days, experiencing incredible game viewing on land and on water then returning to sundowners on the edge of the water and delicious dinners in the main lodge. The owners have created a very special and private place to experience the serenity and beauty of the Delta."

Sophie and Adrian offer their guests a magical experience living deep in the Okavango forest with only the call of wild birds, monkeys and elephants as company. You will become part of the family exploring wild swimming, walks and even boat trips if required. Sophie put a unique itinerary together for us that was perfect in every way. If you want to be truly spoilt and learn about the mysteries of the Okavango Delta, the Tshilli farm is the only place to stay.
